Digital Phone Manager Instructions
This document describes how to manage Digital Phone features online from any computer using the Digital Phone Manager. Note that many features can also be managed using your telephone. See the Digital Phone Feature Management by Telephone Instructions for additional information.
Getting Started
Log into the My Surewest (www.surewest.net)
From the My SureWest homepage select the My Services link.

Click on the Digital Phone Manager button

The Digital Phone Manager displays.

Call Logs
Click Call Logs to view your call history.

Your call logs include the following capabilities:
Store up to 100 calls in the log
Display calls in order of date, name, or call type (outgoing or incoming)

Select Date in the Sort By field.
Click to display calls in ascending or descending order. |

Select Name in the Sort By field.
Click to display calls in ascending or descending order. |
 |
Green arrows pointing in (right) indicate inbound calls. |

Green arrows pointing out (left) indicate outbound calls. |
 |
Gray arrows indicate calls that went to voice mail. |
Search for calls by full or partial:
Name
Telephone number
Notes: |
To show the search button on the screen, click the max button to maximize the screen or click and drag the black triangle in the lower right-hand corner of the Digital Phone Manager.
To redisplay all your calls after a search, clear the search field, then click the search button. |

Manage Your Digital Phone Features
Click Edit Calling Features to manage your Digital Phone features.

Result: The Digital Phone Manager displays.

Multiple Directory Number
You can have one additional Multiple Directory Number ring on the same line as your main number. Each number has a unique ringing pattern so you know which number is being called.

You can edit calling features for the main number only. Changes to calling features apply to both the main number and associated Multiple Directory Number. |

Ring Pattern
Use the drop-down field to select the ring pattern for your Digital Phone.

Forward All Calls To: (Call Forwarding All Calls)
This feature is a must while on vacation or away for an extended period of time. All calls will be forwarded to voice mail or a number you choose.
Voice Mail
Click the Voicemail button to forward all calls to voice mail.

Other Number
Click the Other number button and enter the 7- or 11-digit number to which you want to forward all calls.

Forward Calls When Busy To: (Call Forwarding Busy)
You never know when that important call might come in. While you're on a call, all incoming calls can be sent to voice mail or a number you choose.
Voice Mail
Click the Voicemail button to forward calls when busy to voice mail.

Other number
Click the Other number button and enter the 7- or 11-digit number to which you want to forward calls when busy.

Forward Unanswered Calls To: (Call Forwarding No Answer)
Sometimes you can’t get to the telephone in time. Forward unanswered calls to voice mail or a number you choose.
Voice Mail
Click the Voicemail button to forward unanswered calls to voice mail. You can set your number to ring for 2 to 32 seconds before the call is forwarded.

Other number
Click the Other number button and enter the 7- or 11-digit number to which you want to forward unanswered calls.
You can set your number to ring for 2 to 32 seconds before the call is forwarded.

Do Not Disturb
Enjoy some quiet time. Do Not Disturb allows you to set your status to unavailable. Callers will normally hear a busy signal when this feature is activated.

Enable Ping Ring
When enabled, ping ring provides you with an audible indication that a call has been rejected. This serves to remind you that your Do Not Disturb feature is active.

You cannot answer the call when you hear the ping ring. |

Call Waiting
Turn on call waiting if you want to be notified during a call that you are receiving another call. You can place the existing call on hold, answer the second call, and easily switch back and forth between the two calls.

Speed Calling
Speed Calling allows you to define single-digit codes that can be used instead of full telephone numbers to place calls to frequently dialed or hard-to-remember numbers. Speed dial codes can represent 3-, 7-, or 11-digit numbers.

Note: |
The number 1 cannot be used as a Speed Dial code. Use numbers 2 through 9 as Speed Dial codes. If you attempt to use any numbers other than 2 through 9 as Speed Dial codes, the following error message will display.

Simultaneous Ring
For people who are on the go. You’ll never miss an important call again. Enter numbers here that you want to ring simultaneously when a call is received. These can be 7- or 11-digit numbers.

Note: |
This feature cannot be used at the same time as Find Me/Follow Me (Sequential Ring). |

Find Me/Follow Me (Sequential Ring)
This feature allows you to define a “find me” list of phone numbers, which are called sequentially after receiving an incoming call. These can be 7- or 11-digit numbers. Set it up to ring first to your home number, second to your cell phone, and third to a work number.
Notes: |
Make sure to check the Continue on busy checkbox so that calls reaching a busy signal will continue through the list of numbers in the sequence. Otherwise, the call may route to voicemail or another number depending on your busy call settings. |
This feature may not be used at the same time as Simultaneous Ring. |
You can set each number to ring a certain number of seconds (between 2 and 32 seconds) before going to the next number. |

Continue on busy
If for some reason you want the ringing sequence to stop when a busy signal is encountered, uncheck the Continue on busy checkbox.

Control just about every aspect of incoming calls imaginable. SureWest's Digital Phone allows you to set up multiple screenings lists. Control which calls get through and which calls get rejected, and set up calls you want to forward.

Selective Call Accepted Numbers
You’ll never have to worry about unintended calls again. Only the numbers listed as Accepted Numbers will ring through.
Enter an 11-digit number in the Phone number field.
Select to Accepted Numbers in the Screen type field.
Click the add button.

Selective Call Rejected Numbers
Tired of receiving annoying calls? Now you can be in control. Numbers listed as Rejected Numbers will not ring through.
Enter an 11-digit number in the Phone number field.
Select to Rejected Numbers in the Screen type field.
Click the add button.

Anonymous Call Rejection
Check the Reject Anonymous Calls checkbox to block all calls from anonymous callers.
Note: |
Callers who have blocked the identity of their telephone number will receive this recording: "The party you are dialing is not accepting calls from unidentified callers. To unblock your line identity, hang up and redial using *82 before the telephone number." |

Selective Call Forwarded Numbers
This feature forwards “can’t miss” calls from a list that you control. Make sure your most important calls follow you, while lower priority calls go to voice mail.
Enter an 11-digit number in the Phone number field.
Select to Forwarded Numbers in the Screen type field.
Click the add button.
Select Voicemail or Other number in the Forward Numbers to field; this is where your calls will forward to.

Enter a 7- or 11-digit number when forwarding numbers to another number. |

Note: |
The Other number field must contain a 7- or 11-digit number if it is selected. |
